The Magnetic lock uses an electrical current to produce a magnetic force. When a current is passed through the coil, the magnet lock becomes magnetized. The door will be securely bonded when the electromagnet is energized holding against the armature plate (Power required to lock).

A range of accessory modules for the 4000 series:

4846 – Back-lit information module suitable to display information such as a house name or operating instructions.

4846/UK – Information module modified for use with panel mount proximity readers from other manufacturers. Front is clear plastic and has facility for customers own graphics.

4846/IND – Induction loop module, comprising of an IL-EL42-2 induction coil. Complies with DDA requirements and the Equality Act 2010, the induction loop module can connect to the 4000 series audio amplifier modules and enables users who are hard of hearing to hear the conversation from the intercom panel.

4840 – Blanking module –  for the 4000 series modular door panels.  Can be used as a space filler, to mount third part equipment to a panel or to allow future expansion of features to a panel.

8840 – this module can be used for mounting non-Videx equipment in to modular door panels, as a filler for future expansion of the entrance panels features or to complete a panel where the required number of modules is not equal to the housing capacity.

8846 – Backlit with a white LED and is used for displaying information such block name or special instructions. Complete with card insert which can easily be changed from the inside. 

4000 Proximity Reader Modules

The 380N/UK is a self contained telephone interface module for use on an analogue telephone line. Its primary function is to enable a user to communicate with an analogue telephone line and a door entry point (or points) using the same telephone handset. The handset can be a standard corded model, a cordless such as a DECT telephone or even a hands free telephone.

The 380N/UK can also be configured for use with a PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange) telephone system to be connected into either a spare analogue trunk input or spare telephone extension. All programming is carried out using the telephone keypad (utilising standard DTMF tones).

VR4KIFM – Information module for 4000 VR panels. Backlit with blue led’s, it had a card insert which can be used for Company name or operating instructions etc.

VR4K blanking module for 4000 series VR panels. Used to fill in spare space in 4000 series modules to mount third party prox/swipe readers etc.

VR4KIND – Audio induction loop module for the hard of hearing.  The induction loop can connect to various audio amplifiers (136N, 138N, 140, 150 GSM, 437 and Vx2200 digital panels) to enable users with a hearing aid set to the ‘T’ position to hear the conversation from the intercom panel.
